Job Description

We are seeking an Independent HR Consultant to partner with our clients in building strong HR foundations that optimize workforce performance, enhance workplace culture, and align HR technology with business goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in HR best practices, a passion for driving business success through people, and the ability to implement data-driven HR solutions.

Salary will be determined based on a combination of years of experience, educational background, and overall alignment with the desired personality traits for the role.

 


Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Infrastructure Development

  • Assess, develop, and implement HR infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on performance management, ensuring businesses have the tools to measure and improve employee success.
  • Advise on HR technology solutions to automate and enhance HR processes.

Talent Acquisition & Retention

  • Develop and execute strategic talent acquisition plans to attract and hire the right people.
  • Implement talent retention strategies, fostering engagement and reducing turnover.
  • Use data-driven HR solutions to enhance workforce planning and decision-making.

Workplace Culture & Leadership Development

  • Assess and improve workplace culture, ensuring inclusivity, engagement, and productivity.
  • Conduct leadership development programs to build strong, future-ready leaders.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution & mediation, promoting a healthy and professional work environment.

Training & Professional Development

  • Design and deliver training & professional development programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Develop and implement customized leadership development initiatives.

HR Technology & HRIS Solutions

  • Assess and recommend HRIS platforms to improve HR operations, reporting, and compliance.
  • Train clients on HR technology solutions, ensuring seamless adoption and integration.
  • Utilize HR analytics to track key metrics, streamline processes, and enhance decision-making.

 


Qualifications & Experience

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any business-related field, along with 4+ years of proven HR consulting, leadership, or strategic HR experience. Alternatively, 8+ years of proven HR consulting, leadership, or strategic HR experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Expertise in HR technology solutions, performance management, talent strategy, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.), and HR best practices. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and digital documentation tools.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and leadership development.
  • Ability to analyze HR data and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills to advise. businesses effectively, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide tailored HR solutions to multiple clients.
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses is a plus.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement tools and strategies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Proficiency in HR software and platforms such as Workday, BambooHR, or ADP.
  • Experience with change management and organizational development.
  • Expertise in compensation and benefits strategy and administration.
  • Knowledge of global HR practices and experience working with international teams.
  • Advanced data analysis skills, including experience with HR analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience in workplace culture and community inclusions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with executive coaching and leadership development programs.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Consulting, leadership, or business strategy experience is a plus.

Compensation & Perks

Competitive Pay: Project-based $50–$100/hourly (based on proven experience, certifications, degree, and project complexity), Retainer-based $1,500 – $7,000 (depending on client needs).
